Lydia trained at the prestigious Urdang Academy in London's West End. She gained her level 6 diploma in Musical Theatre and Operetta. After graduating from drama school, she then completed her Bachelor of Arts degree from Guildford School of Acting. Working as a professional performer for the best part of a decade, Lydia starred as Wendla in Spring Awakening (London) and then as Ivy in Bare (London), gaining a nomination for Best Actress in a musical from BroadwayWorld.com alongside actresses such as Sheridan Smith.She has played the lead role in 7 national pantomimes including at the Reading Hexagon, alongside CBeebies star, Justin Fletcher. As well as working as a backing vocal artist for various companies, Lydia has performed in a plethora of West End concerts and cabarets. Most recently, she took up the art of directing and casting; directing a production of RENT! in London's King's Cross, as well as a one-woman comedy show which toured across UK fringe venues.
Lydia is Vice Principal at a local theatre school, instilling techniques and performance passion in young performers and also teaches in mainstream schools. Lydia offers vocal coaching in Solihull and online.
